NSU signs three mou with leading thai universities

Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University (NSU) and Board Chairman of Grameen Bank, delivered the keynote at the International Conference on Global Leadership in Social Business Innovation, held 28–29 August 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event, hosted by the Yunus Centre at the Social Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, marked its inaugural international gathering.
In his keynote, Professor Chowdhury highlighted several critical themes: he defined global leadership in social business, emphasised sustainability as an essential priority, identified entrepreneurship as the driving force for change, addressed the importance of finance and fintech, discussed building resilient business ecosystems, and advocated for measuring impact using innovative, non-traditional metrics. He concluded by urging action to create shared value.
"Social business is the bridge between profit and purpose; it is not charity, nor conventional capitalism, but a revolutionary approach that solves human problems while sustaining itself financially," he said.
During his visit, Professor Chowdhury signed MoUs with Assumption University, Sasin Business School, and the Social Research Institute (CUSRI) at Chulalongkorn University, strengthening academic and research partnerships.
