Niranjan Chandra Debnath appointed Managing Director of ICB

Mr. Niranjan Chandra Debnath has joined as the Managing Director of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) on February 20, 2025, following a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh.

Prior to this role, he served as the Managing Director of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), Deputy Managing Director & Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) of Sonali Bank PLC, and Deputy Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BASIC Bank Ltd. He began his banking career in 1997 as an Assistant Manager at BASIC Bank Limited.

Mr. Debnath holds a postgraduate degree in Accounting from Chittagong University and has obtained professional qualifications including CMA (Bangladesh), FCMA (ICMAB), CGMA, and CMA (UK). He is also a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB). Throughout his career, he has participated in various training programs and seminars both locally and internationally.
