Nestlé Bangladesh hosts workshop on gut microbiome science
Nestlé Bangladesh, committed to sharing scientific knowledge with experts and research professionals, has successfully organised "The Gut Nexus", a two-day workshop on the science of the gut microbiome.
The event combined expert-led sessions with interactive learning, creating an engaging platform for more than 250 specialists from various fields to explore the latest research on gut health. International speakers Professor Dr Shaman Rajendrajith from Sri Lanka and Professor Dr Mark A Beninga from the Netherlands delivered sessions on the importance of gut health and functional gastrointestinal disorders.
Adding local context, Professor Dr Md Iqbal Hossain of ICDDR,B discussed the significance of gut-friendly foods and their relevance to dietary practices in Bangladesh.
Participants also visited scientific booths featuring innovations in probiotics and symbiotics, underscoring Nestlé's commitment to advancing nutrition science.
The workshop received strong appreciation from attendees and further reinforced the Nestlé Nutrition Institute's leadership in promoting gut health education and supporting improved well-being for future generations.
