NCC Bank partners with DNCC for digital tax payment services
NCC Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to enable residents to conveniently pay various municipal fees and taxes — including holding tax, trade licence fee, hotel tax, market salami, wheel tax and other charges — through NCC Bank's nationwide branch network and digital banking platforms.
The signing ceremony took place at a local hotel in Dhaka, where Mohammad Ashaduz Zaman, Secretary of DNCC, and M Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director of NCC Bank PLC, signed and exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Senior officials from both organisations were present, including Brig Gen Imrul-Al-Quais Chowdhury, Chief Health Officer; Mohammad Mamun-Ul Hassan, Chief Social Welfare and Slum Development Officer; Mohammad Mamun Mia, Chief Revenue Officer; Mohammad Shawkat Osman, Chief Estate Officer; and Md Barkat Hayat, Chief Accounts Officer of DNCC.
From NCC Bank, attendees included Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and CFO; Md Sajjadul Islam, SVP and Head of ICT Division; Shahin Akter Nuha, SVP and Head of Transaction Banking and Cash Management Division; Md Aminul Islam, SAVP and Head of Cards (C.C.); and Md Shaiful Islam, FAVP and Head of DFS Business, along with other senior officials.
Speaking at the ceremony, M Shamsul Arefin said, "This partnership marks a major step in delivering citizen services through our branch network, CRM and digital platforms. DNCC residents will now be able to pay taxes and fees conveniently through any NCC Bank branch, the Internet banking app NCC Always, or CRM terminals."
He added, "By integrating technology with banking, we are providing citizens with a seamless, real-time payment experience. This initiative will make DNCC's revenue collection faster, safer and more transparent, while contributing to the vision of a cashless society."
