Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan joins NRBC Bank as DMD and COO
NRBC Bank has appointed Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective from 14 September 2025. In his new role, Mr Khan will oversee the bank's operations, technology integration, and customer service strategies, with a focus on operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Mr Khan brings over two decades of experience in the banking sector, specialising in digital product innovation, technological governance, regulatory compliance, and the development of customer-centric business models. He has led digital transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of digital sales and service frameworks, across multiple financial institutions in Bangladesh.
Before joining NRBC Bank, Mr Khan served at Community Bank as Acting Managing Director, DMD, and Chief Information Officer (CIO). He began his career at BRAC Bank in 2005 as Network and Infrastructure Manager and has also held leadership positions at Bank Asia, Standard Bank, and EXIM Bank.
A Notredamian, Mr Khan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and an MBA in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. He has participated in professional training programmes in countries including the United States, India, Malaysia, and Singapore.
