Minister calls for innovation and technology-driven public service
Food, Fisheries and Livestock, and Agriculture Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid has reaffirmed the government's commitment to recognising the contributions of officials and employees to nation-building with due dignity and appropriate acknowledgement.
Recent reports confirm his concurrent leadership of the ministries named in the statement, while Md Imam Uddin Kabir currently serves as Secretary (Routine Duty) of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
He made the remarks on Tuesday while exchanging post-Eid greetings with ministry officials at the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock's conference room following Eid-ul-Fitr.
The minister emphasised that officials must adopt a modern outlook and drive the application of timely innovation and technology, noting that such advancements would directly benefit the nation.
He also expressed hope that the spirit of Eid would endure throughout the year. Highlighting the significance of traditional Eid customs—such as semai, shirni and polao—he underscored their role in the nation's cultural heritage. Preserving these traditions, he said, must go hand-in-hand with fostering stronger values for future generations.
The minister called for collective unity in advancing national development and fulfilling civic responsibilities. He also sought prayers and wished peace, happiness and well-being for the nation.
Secretary (Routine Duty) Md Imam Uddin Kabir, along with other senior ministry officials, attended the event.
