Midland Bank elects new chairman
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury has been elected Chairman of Midland Bank PLC. This decision was made in the 165th meeting of the Board of Directors held on March 20, 2025.
Mr Ahsan Khan Chowdhury is one of Midland Bank PLC's Sponsor Directors, an Executive Committee member, and the bank's risk management committee chairman.
Mr Chowdhury studied at Wartburg College in the USA and joined the PRAN-RFL Group in 1992 as a Director. He oversees business operations across all enterprises, demonstrating strong supervisory abilities and a passion for managing business operations.

He is also the Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL. PRAN and RFL are two prominent brands in the FMCG and Light Engineering sectors, and they employ more than 1,45,000 employees across various sectors.
