CCC joins hands with grameenphone for smart city solutions

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Grameenphone to accelerate the implementation of smart city solutions for the citizens of the port city.
The signing took place yesterday at the CCC office in the presence of Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain and Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone.
Senior officials were also present, including Mohammad Ashraful Amin, Secretary of CCC; Dr Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of Grameenphone; and Otto Magne Risbakk, Chief Financial Officer of Grameenphone.
Under the agreement, CCC and Grameenphone will collaborate to design, develop, and deploy smart city services aimed at increasing efficiency and transparency. For citizens, the key benefits include streamlined access to city services, quicker solutions to municipal issues, and new opportunities to engage with local governance.
Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain said, "This partnership will allow us to harness modern technology to improve city services, enhance transparency, and deliver more value to our citizens. Together with Grameenphone, we aim to set a benchmark for smart city solutions in Bangladesh."
Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman said, "This collaboration with CCC marks a significant step toward building a smarter, more connected future for Chattogram. By leveraging connectivity and technology, we envision creating a city where people live healthier, happier, and safer lives."
The partnership focuses on delivering tangible improvements to the daily lives of Chattogram residents by introducing new technologies and services while streamlining city operations and governance for long-term benefits.
