Metlife Bangladesh leads life insurers in claims settlement
MetLife Bangladesh settled Tk2,853 crore in insurance claims in 2025, reinforcing its position as the country's leading life insurer for claims settlement.
The amount includes payments made to customers as insurance benefits, as well as claims related to loss of life and medical needs. During the year, MetLife Bangladesh recorded a 98 per cent claims settlement ratio—one of the highest in the industry.
Of the total claims settled, Tk313 crore was paid in health and medical claims, Tk110 crore in death claims, and Tk2,430 crore in maturity, partial maturity, and other claims.
MetLife Bangladesh continues to settle the highest volume of claims among all life insurers in the country. The company settled claims for Tk2,895 crore in 2024, Tk2,981 crore in 2023, and Tk2,548 crore in 2022.

Customers of MetLife Bangladesh benefit from a digital claims process that allows them to submit claims online and receive payments within three to five working days.
MetLife Bangladesh currently serves around one million individual customers and more than 900 corporate clients nationwide.
