Mercantile Bank leads School Banking Conference 2025 in Netrokona

Mercantile Bank PLC successfully led the School Banking Conference 2025 in Netrokona, held on 28 June at the Public Hall Auditorium. The Netrokona Branch of Mercantile Bank organised the daylong event in collaboration with the Institutional Liability Marketing Division (ILMD) of the Bank's Head Office. Students from 24 educational institutions participated in the conference.
Md Enamul Karim Khan, Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mymensingh Office, graced the event as Chief Guest, while the programme was presided over by Md Abdul Halim, SEVP & Chief Operating Officer of Mercantile Bank PLC.
Among the Special Guests were Mohammad Shahjahan, Additional Director of the Financial Inclusion Department, Bangladesh Bank; Mohammad Emdadul Haque, Assistant District Primary Education Officer; and Dipak Chandra, AGM of the Netrokona Corporate Branch, Sonali Bank.
Also present were Sunny Md Shahriar Istiak, Deputy Director of the Financial Inclusion Department, Bangladesh Bank; Tapon James Rozario, AVP and Head of ILMD, Mercantile Bank; Md Rabiul Karim, FAVP and Head of the Netrokona Branch; as well as senior bank officials, local dignitaries, teachers, and students.
The event aimed to promote financial literacy and awareness of banking services among school students, encouraging early financial inclusion and responsible money management habits.
