Meghna Bank inaugurates its new agent banking outlet

As part of its ongoing efforts to expand Banking Services across different regions of the country, Meghna Bank PLC has inaugurated a new Agent Banking outlet in Abedin Colony, Love Lane, Chattogram.

The Deputy Managing Director of Meghna Bank, Mr Kimiwa Saddat, was the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the outlet. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. SK Perves Maraker, Head of Agent Banking, Cash Management, and Foreign Remittance, as a Special Guest, along with other bank senior officials and distinguished local personalities. 

Mr Kimiwa Saddat emphasised Meghna Bank's commitment to financial inclusion by bringing modern banking services to the doorstep of underserved communities. He said, "Meghna Bank is tirelessly working to ensure uninterrupted financial services for the marginalised population, which will further enhance people's trust in the bank."

Mr SK Perves Maraker said, "This new outlet will facilitate access to modern banking services for the local population and contribute to broader economic activities in the region." 

Among the esteemed guests present at the event were Mr Shovon M Shahabuddin Raj, Chairman of Chattogram Club Limited; prominent entrepreneur Mr Manzurul Haque Manju; and Bir Protik Colonel (Retd.) ATM Salahuddin. They highly praised Meghna Bank's agent banking initiatives and expressed optimism that the bank would continue playing a significant role in the development of the local community. 

Meghna Bank PLC launched its agent banking operations in August 2021. This new outlet will further strengthen the bank's financial inclusion objectives and enhance the accessibility of banking services at the grassroots level.
