Meghna Bank announces appointment of new senior executive
Mr Momtazul Karim N Ahmed is an experienced banker with over 19 years of professional experience in both local and multinational banks.
He began his banking career with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) and later joined NRB Bank PLC.
Most recently, he served as head of corporate banking at Bank Alfalah Ltd – Bangladesh.

Mr Ahmed has extensive expertise in corporate banking, programme design and rollout, agri and SME financing, offshore banking, FI credit lines, business and trade services, supply chain finance, structured finance, and cash management solutions.
He has also played a pivotal role in strengthening cybersecurity and trade-based money laundering processes.
Throughout his career, he has held several senior management roles, where he was instrumental in developing strategic business initiatives, structuring complex financial solutions, and promoting sustainable banking practices. Under his leadership, both NRB Bank PLC and Bank Alfalah Ltd made significant progress in corporate banking and process centralisation.
A distinguished professional, Mr Ahmed holds a BBA and MBA in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka, and a Master of Science in Strategic Planning from Johns Hopkins University, USA.
He has also completed numerous professional certifications and participated in several international training programmes and workshops.
Mr Ahmed is widely respected for his strategic acumen, integrity, and commitment to fostering a performance-driven culture aligned with organisational vision and values.
His leadership, experience, and foresight are expected to play a vital role in advancing Meghna Bank's growth and innovation journey.
