LGED trains IUT students on climate-resilient infrastructure

A day-long training session was held on Tuesday, 7 October, at the LGED headquarters in Agargaon as part of LGED's Industrial Training Programme for university students.
A total of 21 third-year students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) participated in the training, which forms part of a four-week programme running from 28 September to 23 October 2025.
Session leaders briefed participants on ongoing initiatives under LGED's Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC), and presented national and international data on climate change and infrastructure resilience.
The session was conducted by Md Abdul Khaleque, Project Director of CRIM-CReLIC; Md Latif Hossain, Executive Engineer of CReLIC; Fatema Ismot Ara, Senior Assistant Engineer; Arpan Pal, Assistant Engineer; and Afifa Sultana Pritul, Assistant Engineer.
