JMI launches Apollo Clinic in Dhaka

Apollo Clinic, a subsidiary of India's renowned Apollo Hospitals chain, has officially started operations in Dhaka to provide world-class healthcare services for patients in Bangladesh. The clinic is operated in Bangladesh by JMI Specialised Hospital Limited, a subsidiary of JMI Group, under a licensing agreement.
Apollo Clinic's journey in Bangladesh began on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and cake unveiling at its facility on Sat Masjid Road, Dhanmondi. A formal inauguration ceremony was later held at a hotel in the capital.
Founder and Managing Director of JMI Group Md Abdur Razzaq chaired the ceremony, which was attended by Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries President Abdul Muktadir, Secretary General Dr Md Zakir Hossain, JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Limited Director Hoi Kwan Kim, Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited Head of Franchise Business Tarun Gulati, JMI Group Chairman Md Jabed Iqbal Pathan, Amin Mohammad Group Managing Director Md Aminul Haque Nabil, and Dr Tamjeed Alam, Chief Executive Officer of JMI Specialised Hospital Limited.
Highlighting the services, Dr Tamjeed Alam said JMI Group had become a trusted name at home and abroad over its 26-year journey. "As part of this journey, JMI Group launched JMI Specialised Hospital Limited to bring qualitative change in the country's healthcare sector. Apollo Clinic will be managed by this hospital, offering specialist consultations, diagnostics, pharmacy services, and advanced facilities including a 100-bed admission ward, ICU, NICU, PICU, day-care chemotherapy and dialysis," he said.
Md Abdur Razzaq noted that Apollo Clinic would maintain service standards on par with Apollo India. "The clinic combines advanced technology with leading doctors, skilled nurses and efficient management staff to ensure people can now access world-class healthcare at fair cost within the country, without going abroad," he said. He added that JMI planned to expand similar facilities to other parts of Bangladesh.
Tarun Gulati of Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited praised JMI as one of Bangladesh's strongest healthcare brands. The inauguration was attended by leading physicians, senior officials of JMI Group and Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited, employees, and media representatives.
JMI Specialised Hospital Limited is a subsidiary of JMI Group and a listed company of JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Limited. Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited, meanwhile, is a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, the largest hospital chain in South Asia.
