Jamuna Oil to donate Tk20 lakh to July Shaheed Smriti Foundation

Jamuna Oil Company Ltd has decided to donate Tk20 lakh to the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The decision was taken at the company's 533rd Board meeting, held virtually on Wednesday (16 April).

The meeting was chaired by MA Akmall Hossain Azad, member (senior secretary) of the Physical Infrastructure Division of the Bangladesh Planning Commission, according to a press release.

Board directors Kaosar Zahura, Md Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, Nurun Nahar Chowdhury, Mahammad Abdul Quader, Manzarey Khorshed Alam, Shaikh Al Amin, and Saleh Ahmed Khasru attended the meeting. 

Managing Director Mustafa Qudrat-I-Elahi and Company Secretary Md Masudul Islam were also present.

The donation aims to support the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation's work in honouring and assisting the families of martyrs.

The board expressed unanimous support for the initiative, reaffirming Jamuna Oil's commitment to social welfare.
