Jamuna Bank opens 170th branch in Shariatpur’s Naria
Jamuna Bank PLC hhas inaugurated its 170th branch, the Naria Branch, at Naria in Shariatpur, further expanding its banking network and strengthening access to modern, customer-centric financial services.
The branch was inaugurated by Md Abdus Salam, Additional Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Jamuna Bank PLC, as chief guest. The ceremony was presided over by Md Abdus Sobhan, Divisional Head of NRB Banking and Foreign Remittance and Banking Operation Division of the bank.
Khulna zonal head, managers of nearby branches, local representatives, members of the business community, valued customers and other dignitaries were present at the event.

During the inauguration, emphasis was placed on enhancing foreign remittance inflows, particularly from Europe, with a focus on Italy, where a large number of non-resident Bangladeshis reside and regularly send remittances home. Jamuna Bank said its strong global remittance partnerships will enable NRBs to remit foreign currency securely and efficiently through the newly opened Naria Branch.
The bank said the new branch is expected to promote financial inclusion and provide faster and more reliable banking and remittance services to the local community.
