IUB hosts first-ever TEDx event
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) hosted its inaugural TEDxIUB event on December 19, 2024, at the IUB Auditorium, uniting thought leaders, industry pioneers, and creative minds. Organized by the Department of General Management and the Independent Management and Entrepreneurship Club (IMEC), the event celebrated the TED ethos of "Ideas Worth Spreading."
The event commenced with opening speeches by Vice Chancellor (Acting) Khandker Md. Iftekhar Haider and other distinguished university leaders.
Speakers included Sayem Faruk, CEO of Airwork AI; Marufa Akter, PhD, Head of IUB's Global Studies Department; Mosharraf Khan Yaafi, stand-up comedian; and several others, offering diverse perspectives on innovation, leadership, and creativity.
