Islami Bank new managing directors meets staff

Md Omar Faruk Khan, newly appointed Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, met with top executives and branch leaders to discuss the bank's direction.
The programme, held on 4 August 2025 through a hybrid format, was presided over by Additional Managing Director Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder. Additional Managing Director Md Altaf Hossain and Deputy Managing Directors Mahmudur Rahman and Muhammad Sayeed Ullah addressed the event as special guests. Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim delivered the welcome speech.
Senior officials from the head office, 16 zones, 400 branches, and 271 sub-branches participated in the programme.
In his inspirational address as chief guest, Md Omar Faruk Khan described Islami Bank as the nation's largest bank and the steadfast backbone of the national economy, achievements made possible by the unwavering trust and support of the people. He acknowledged that while this bond had been tested in recent years, it has now been triumphantly restored in a rejuvenated "new Bangladesh."
He passionately called on all officials to unite in preserving the proud legacy of Islami Bank, to courageously identify and overcome challenges, and to fulfill their responsibilities with utmost honesty, dedication, and professionalism. By doing so, he asserted, they can transform Islami Bank into a truly modern and visionary financial institution.
