Interactive Cares: Bridging the gap between education and industry in Bangladesh
When many educational institutions fail to prepare students for the real world, Interactive Cares stands out as a revolutionary platform that focuses on career-oriented learning. Founded in July 2020 by CEO Rare Al Samir and COO Jamila Bupasha Khushbu, Interactive Cares offers industry-relevant programmes in tech, data science, AI, DevOps, digital marketing, business, and design. With a mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Interactive Cares prioritises practical skills development, job placement, and real-world career growth.
A vision for change
Rare Al Samir, the founder and CEO, shares his personal journey. "While running an offline education business during my university days, I saw first-hand the challenges students face when transitioning from academia to the professional world. The key problem? Universities weren't preparing graduates with the practical skills required by employers," he recalls. This realisation led him to launch Interactive Cares, aiming to tackle unemployment by offering structured career paths, skill-based learning, and direct job placement opportunities.
Jamila Bupasha Khushbu, the COO, emphasises the platform's inclusive approach: "Our goal is to ensure that talent from all backgrounds can access opportunities that help propel their careers and foster innovation." This inclusive mission is further bolstered by the platform's focus on global skills and AI-driven learning, enabling students to stay ahead in an ever-evolving tech landscape.
Empowering learners and bridging the gap
Interactive Cares has already empowered over 150,000 learners across Bangladesh, helping them build the skills needed to land jobs, internships, or freelance opportunities. Through partnerships with 130+ companies, including Anwar Group, Brainstation 23, and Praava Health, students not only gain quality education but also job-ready training and corporate placements.
From online to on-ground: Opening the first learning centre
After successfully empowering learners through online programmes, Interactive Cares is now opening its first Offline Learning Centre in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The centre is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences with mentorship, real-world projects, seminars, and workshops led by industry experts. These sessions are tailored to bridge the existing gap between traditional academia and the demands of the industry.
Real stories, real impact
Sajib Khan, a learner from the Data Analytics & Power BI Career Path, joined Interactive Cares in Batch 1 and now works as an Executive in Data Analytics & Strategy at a well-known ride-sharing company. Reflecting on his experience, he says, "The structured roadmap at Interactive Cares made all the difference. The live classes, support sessions, and job preparation helped me land a great role in just a few months."
Similarly, Bushra, a Data Analytics Batch 2 student, recalls her struggles with Python, SQL, and Power BI. "With mentorship and career support, I gained the confidence to excel in Data Analytics, eventually landing my first job," she says.
The platform not only focuses on high-level skills but also emphasises foundational learning. Sajjad Hossain, a Full-Stack Development student from Batch 4, reflects on his journey, "I wasn't sure if I could keep up initially, but the step-by-step guidance helped me gain confidence. The mentors were always there when I needed support, and now I believe I can build a career in full-stack development."
Empowering the next generation
Interactive Cares has ambitious plans for the future. Rare Al Samir envisions the platform becoming the leading career-tech platform in Bangladesh within the next five years, with global expansion and AI-driven career solutions. "We aim to reach millions by scaling our job placement programmes, corporate partnerships, and skill-building courses," he says.
A standout success is a Class 10 student who joined the Full Stack Web Development programme and is now working remotely for an international company, earning a substantial income with the skills he learned at Interactive Cares.
A focus on global skills and AI learning
In response to the growing demand for AI and automation, Interactive Cares is introducing AI-driven learning modules to enhance students' skill sets in line with global trends. The platform's focus on global skills equips students with the knowledge to compete internationally, further elevating the career prospects of learners.
