IFIC Bank PLC and Khulna University collaborate to promote financial literacy

IFIC Bank PLC, in partnership with the Soil, Water and Environment Discipline of Khulna University, successfully hosted a Financial Literacy Program aimed at equipping students with essential financial management and career planning skills. Held at the Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium, the program garnered an enthusiastic response from students and faculty.

The event began with welcoming remarks from Mr. S M Shahriar Zaman, Lecturer at the Soil, Water and Environment Discipline, who underscored the importance of financial literacy for students transitioning to professional life.

Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Chief of Branch Business at IFIC Bank, reaffirmed the bank's commitment to fostering financial education among the youth. Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmus Sadath, Director of Student Affairs at Khulna University, encouraged students to utilise such opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The keynote address by Mr. S M Hasan Reza, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, highlighted the critical role of financial literacy in driving sustainable economic growth. Prof. Md. Sanaul Islam, Head of the Soil, Water and Environment Discipline, lauded the initiative as a valuable collaboration to prepare students for future financial challenges.

An engaging presentation by Ms. Fariha Haider from IFIC Bank offered practical insights into effective financial management and banking career prospects, resonating deeply with the students.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Md. Sanaul Islam expressed gratitude to IFIC Bank and Bangladesh Bank for their significant contributions to promoting financial literacy. He emphasised the impact of such initiatives on empowering future leaders and advancing national development.

This program is part of IFIC Bank's ongoing efforts to enhance financial literacy and empower communities across Bangladesh, aligning with its commitment to fostering a financially informed generation.
