Honor 600 series launched in Bangladesh
Global AI ecosystem device brand Honor officially launched its Honor 600 5G series in Bangladesh yesterday (7 May) at Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka, strengthening its position in the country's increasingly competitive premium smartphone market.
The launch event brought together key stakeholders, leading Bangladeshi tech journalists, tech reviewers and influencers.
Honor Bangladesh Country Manager Lang Guo, along with other officials, attended the event.
A keynote presentation on the company's AIoT vision was one of the major highlights of the event, alongside the product presentation.
Attendees also experienced dedicated hands-on zones, DJ performances and a fashion show.
In addition to the launch of the new series, Honor announced a 15-day contest titled "Capture to Win", encouraging attendees to create videos using their imagination for a chance to win the newly launched smartphone and other exclusive gifts.
The new Honor 600 5G series has been launched in two variants: regular and Pro.
Both variants feature what the company describes as the industry's narrowest bezels, measuring only 0.98mm.
The devices also feature a precision-carved unibody design with a composite fibre back and matte metal finish, making them durable, lightweight and stylish.
A major highlight of the series is the 200-megapixel next-generation AI camera system, which comes with CIPA 6.0 professional-grade image stabilisation.
Both devices have an Ultra Clear night camera backed by an advanced AI Colour Engine and flagship-grade AI night algorithms for low-light photography.
To enhance photo editing and create a more intuitive experience, Honor has introduced AI Image to Video 2.0 to the 600 series.
The company said the industry-exclusive feature transforms static images into cinematic videos using a dedicated AI button.
The Pro variant is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the regular variant uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
Both devices include a 7,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge.
The phones have also received SGS 5-star certification for durability and protection, demonstrating the devices' ability to withstand everyday drops and impacts, the company said.
Speaking at the launch, Honor Bangladesh Country Manager Lang Guo said, "For us, technology is not just a tool; it is also a source of inspiration that helps people share their story with effortless style and elegance."
"With the introduction of the Honor 600 series, we want to provide our customers with a new way of capturing and experiencing moments through the power of AI," he added.
The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage Pro variant is priced at Tk99,999.
The regular variant is available in two models: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at Tk64,999, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at Tk69,999.
The phones are available in Orange, Golden White and Black.
Honor also unveiled the 600 Lite at the event. Customers can pre-book the smartphones until 15 May.
