Grameenphone, Metlife Vangladesh partner to expand insurance reach
Grameenphone Ltd and MetLife Bangladesh have signed an agreement to explore opportunities to expand insurance protection to a wider population in Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed by Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer Yasir Azman and MetLife Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Ala Ahmad in the presence of senior executives from both organisations.
Yasir Azman said, "At Grameenphone, we believe digital connectivity has the power to enable access to essential services that improve people's lives. This collaboration with MetLife Bangladesh allows us to explore how technology and partnerships can help address protection gaps and contribute to greater financial resilience for people across Bangladesh."
Ala Ahmad said, "Insurance plays a vital role in helping individuals and families prepare for life's uncertainties. Through this agreement with Grameenphone, we aim to explore innovative and customer-centric approaches to expand insurance awareness and access, supporting long-term financial security for more people in Bangladesh."
The two companies said they will work together to combine Grameenphone's digital reach with MetLife Bangladesh's insurance expertise to make financial protection solutions more digitally accessible through innovation.
