foodpanda trains first batch of transgender riders

foodpanda, on-demand food and grocery delivery platform, has trained its first batch of transgender riders and equipped them with bicycles and smartphones.

The initiative was implemented with the support of TransEnd, an organization dedicated to empowering members of the Bangladeshi transgender community, said a press release.

Initially, 20 riders will be joining the delivery service in Chattogram and Dhaka. Besides, several other members of the transgender community have already been working as the warehouse staff in foodpanda's pandamart stores.

In line with the Bangladeshi government's goals, foodpanda believes that building more inclusive economy in country and a society that thrives and move forward consistently.

Marking the end of their training, a small ceremony was held at foodpanda hub office in Chattogram on Thursday the cycles were distributed among the riders.
