Executive committee of BEZIA met with BEZA Chairman

The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Investors Association (BEZIA) leaders held a high-level meeting this afternoon at Hotel Intercontinental with Mr Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA).
During the meeting, led by BEZIA President Mr MA Jabbar, Mr Sharif Zahir, and Ms Rupali H Chowdhury, both Vice Presidents of the association, along with other representatives, expressed deep concern over the recent imposition of tariffs by the U.S. Government and the recent hike in gas prices by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC). They urged the government to revisit these decisions, highlighting the potential negative impact on investment, production costs, and export competitiveness.
Mr Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of BEZA, patiently listened to all concerns raised and assured the delegation that BEZA would actively engage with the relevant authorities to address these issues constructively and collaboratively.
