Emirates introduces premium economy on Kolkata route

Emirates has announced its Premium Economy service on the Kolkata-Dubai route, with effect from 18 July 2025. This follows the successful rollout of the product in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

Passengers can now book Premium Economy seats on flight EK573, which will operate four times a week—on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Premium Economy cabin on Emirates' latest Boeing 777 aircraft features 24 seats and offers an upgraded travel experience with wider cream leather seats, greater legroom, deeper recline, cushioned leg rests, and adjustable headrests. Designed for comfort and privacy, it serves as a refined alternative to Economy Class.

Passengers will also enjoy an enhanced dining experience with a curated selection of regional dishes served on Royal Doulton china with stainless steel cutlery. Each seat includes a 13.3-inch HD personal screen offering access to Emirates' ice in-flight entertainment system.

The baggage allowance includes 35kg for checked-in luggage and an additional 10kg for carry-on.

Emirates currently operates 11 flights per week from Kolkata to Dubai. Of these, flights EK572/573 will offer Premium Economy service four times weekly.
