EBL women banking supports SME Exhibition
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) partnered with SME Exhibition showcasing impact, an event dedicated to fostering investment opportunities for SMEs and startups, particularly those led by or benefiting women.
Organised by Truvalu Bangladesh with support from the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, the fair brought together financial institutions, investors, and ecosystem enablers to enhance access to capital for gender-inclusive businesses.
Corinne Henchoz Pignani, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, inaugurated the event. Sharawwat Islam, Managing Director, Truvalu Bangladesh, was also present.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Pitching Sessions were organised to provide entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their ventures to potential investors, strengthening their access to finance and market reach. Tanzeri Hoque, EBL Head of Priority and Women's Banking participated in the Pitching Sessions as a panellist.
The daylong event at a city hotel also featured exhibition stalls, networking sessions, and an awards segment recognising the most promising businesses.
