DU’s FBS music wing to host Pohela Boishakh celebration
The FBS Music Wing, University of Dhaka, will host 'Boishakh Festival 1433'—an event marking the Bengali New Year and bringing together the campus community to observe renewal, culture, and tradition.
Pohela Boishakh is recognised not only as a specific day but also as a period associated with renewal, optimism, and unity. This year's event will include music, performances, and aspects of Bangla tradition highlighting these themes.
The 2026 festival will also mark the 10th anniversary of the FBS Music Wing, reflecting a decade of creative activities. The celebration will formally acknowledge the contributions of students, alumni, and the broader university community.
