DIMFF concludes three-day cine carnival at ULAB
Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF), an outreach initiative of the Media and Journalism Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), concluded its three-day cine carnival celebrating cinema, creativity and youth engagement.
The carnival featured more than 40 stalls offering jewellery, fragrances, food, clothing, home décor items, makeup and henna, drawing students and visitors to a vibrant marketplace throughout the event.
A range of interactive activities, including Balloon Shooter, Nagor Dola, Ghuraina Chobi (360-degree rotation) and Gaaner Ashor, were arranged for visitors of all ages, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A key highlight of the carnival was the CinemaGhor sessions, which hosted screenings and discussions with film industry professionals. On the final day, the film Noor was screened, followed by an interactive discussion with actor Arifin Shuvoo, actress Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, associate producer and sound designer Ripon Nath, and associate producer Raffael Ahsan.
Earlier sessions featured discussions on films including Delupi and Barir Naam Shahana, offering insights into filmmaking, storytelling and production processes for students and aspiring filmmakers.
Organisers said the successful conclusion of the event reaffirmed DIMFF's commitment to promoting cinematic culture, creativity and industry engagement among young audiences and emerging filmmakers.
