DIFS celebrates 25th anniversary with winter edition in Dhaka
The 25th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show (DIFS) 2026 – Winter Edition was inaugurated today at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, marking a major milestone as the country's original and longest-running B2B yarn and fabric sourcing exhibition celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Jointly organised by CEMS-Global USA and CCPIT-TEX (Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China), the four-day exhibition, running from 28 to 31 January 2026, brings together global textile manufacturers and suppliers across the value chain, reinforcing Bangladesh's position in the international textile and apparel market.
Meherun N Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global USA and Asia-Pacific, and Chen Bo, Deputy Secretary General and Director of CCPIT-TEX, hosted the opening ceremony.
Distinguished guests at the inauguration included Song Yang, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh; Arifur Rahman Khan, Additional Secretary and Director General (in charge) of the Department of Textiles under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute; Md Firoz Uddin, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries; and Nafis-Ud-Doula, Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
As global supply chains undergo realignment with increased emphasis on sustainable sourcing, DIFS 2026 continues to serve as a platform connecting Bangladesh's apparel industry—valued at more than $47 billion—with international textile manufacturers and suppliers.
Over its previous 24 editions, DIFS has played a key role in linking global suppliers with Bangladesh's manufacturing ecosystem, supporting competitiveness, diversification, and capacity expansion. The 25th edition brings together leading manufacturers and supplier groups from major textile-producing countries, strengthening sourcing opportunities, partnerships, and supply-chain resilience.
CEMS-Global USA, headquartered in New York, is a multinational exhibition organiser with a portfolio of specialised B2B trade shows across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and has been organising international textile exhibitions for more than two decades.
CCPIT-TEX, a sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, works to promote international co-operation and trade facilitation within China's textile and apparel sector.
The exhibition is part of the Textile Series of Exhibitions, developed by CEMS-Global and held across Bangladesh, Brazil, Morocco, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and other major textile hubs worldwide.
The exhibition is open to business visitors from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. Industry professionals may register online to attend.
