Deepal Abeywickrema elected senior vice president of FICCI
Mr Deepal Abeywickrema, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, has been elected senior vice president of the Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
This is his second term in the role, having previously served in 2022–23.
FICCI is the apex body representing foreign investors in Bangladesh and plays a key role in shaping policies that promote investment, innovation and job creation. The chamber also works to ensure a favourable business environment and strengthen the contribution of foreign companies to the country's economic growth.

Mr Abeywickrema has served as an ambassador for foreign investors in Bangladesh for the past seven years. His re-election to the chamber's leadership reflects his reputation as a strategic and experienced industry leader. FICCI expects his continued guidance to advance its efforts in representing the foreign investment community and reinforcing their role in Bangladesh's economic development.
