Coast Guard offers free medical services and medicine in Anwara, Chattogram

Bangladesh Coast Guard has successfully provided free medical treatment and essential medicines to underprivileged residents of Raipur, located in Anwara upazila, Chattogram.
The medical camp, organised by Coast Guard Base Chattogram, took place on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Over 500 individuals, including children, the elderly, and the economically disadvantaged, received free medical care and necessary medications.
The camp was led by Senior Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Yasmin Akter, AMC, and Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Naeem Hasan, AMC.
In a statement released later in the day, Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque remarked, "The Bangladesh Coast Guard has long been committed to supporting marginalized communities living along coastal and riverside areas. Our regular medical camps serve as a lifeline to low-income and underserved populations."
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque further assured that the Coast Guard would continue to carry out such humanitarian and community support initiatives in the future.
