CEGIS, Envolead sign mou on climate resilience
The Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) and Envolead Ltd. have entered into a strategic partnership to advance climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and the adoption of innovative technology solutions across Bangladesh.
The agreement was formalised at CEGIS headquarters in Dhaka on 16 March 2026.
Under the partnership, CEGIS will leverage its research and technical expertise, while Envolead will contribute its climate technology initiatives. Joint projects will focus on climate adaptation, water resource management, WASH, sustainable infrastructure, and community empowerment.
The collaboration will facilitate operational linkages and knowledge exchange to design and implement climate and sustainability initiatives, targeting measurable environmental, social, and economic outcomes.
The partnership will further strengthen technical capacity, drive innovation, and promote knowledge transfer through joint research, pilot programmes, training, and advanced technology applications, supporting climate-resilient and sustainable development.
Md Motaleb Hossain Sarker, Executive Director (Acting) of CEGIS; Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Chief Specialist and Director of the Remote Sensing Division; and Rakshanda Mabin, Associate Specialist, were present at the signing ceremony.
Envolead Ltd. was represented by Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Morshedul Bari; Co-founder and Director of Innovation and Sustainability Tania Noor; and Manager of Sustainability and Climate Innovation Md Abu Rahath.
According to both organisations, the memorandum is expected to accelerate the development and deployment of climate technology and evidence-based solutions in support of national climate resilience and sustainable development.
