BUFT ignite 2025 showcases young talent in merchandising
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) hosted its signature student competition Ignite on 27 August 2025, organised by the BUFT Merchandising Club (BMC).
The top four teams presented their creativity and problem-solving skills before a panel of distinguished judges and a lively audience.
Professor Dr Engineer Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice-Chancellor of BUFT, and Mohammed Abu Sadat, Director of Shin Shin Group, attended the event. Team Pitch & Polish won first place, with Iron Knight Riders and Alpha earning second and third place, respectively.

Notably, two members of the winning team—Mehrab Hossain Maharaz and Sayeda Ummul Wara—are also participants of Textile Talent Hunt (TTH) 9.0, underlining BUFT's commitment to nurturing future leaders in fashion and textiles through innovation, purposeful engagement, and practical exposure.
