BUFT hosts seminar on health and wellness

The Department of Public Relations at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), in collaboration with the BUFT LEO Club, organised a seminar titled "Healthy Body, Healthy Brain" on 6 January 2025 at BUFT's multipurpose hall in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka. The seminar underscored the essential connection between physical health and mental well-being.

Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at BUFT, attended as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr. M. Mojibul Haque, Consultant at The Centre of Integrative Medicine, USA, served as the keynote speaker. Mr. Md. Mahbubul Haque, Chairman of the American Wellness Centre (AWC), participated as the Special Guest, with Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice-Chancellor of BUFT, presiding over the event. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of Public Relations.

The programme included a Q&A session with Prof. Haque, guest speeches, and a health awareness rally. BUFT and AWC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote health initiatives. AWC extended exclusive benefits to BUFT's employees and students, such as free consultations, discounts on therapies and diagnostics, and complimentary participation in seminars.
