BRAC Bank and BGBA hold workshop to strengthen buying house sector

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), organised a workshop in Dhaka to promote seamless trade and payment solutions for the buying house sector.
The event, held at the BGBA premises, brought together over 100 buying house owners and industry leaders.
AKM Faisal Halim, Head of Transaction Banking, Corporate and Institutional Banking Division of BRAC Bank, inaugurated the workshop. BGBA President Mohammad Mofazzal Hosen Pabel presided over the session and expressed appreciation for BRAC Bank's continued engagement and commitment to the sector.
Abu Shafique, Head of Trade Development, BRAC Bank, delivered the keynote presentation, highlighting advanced trade and payment solutions designed to support the buying house community.
AKM Saifur Rahman, Vice President of BGBA, attended the event alongside a large number of association members. Senior officials from BRAC Bank's Corporate Banking, Trade Operations, and Branch teams were also present.
The workshop focused on how innovative financial tools and digital platforms can enhance operational efficiency, simplify transactions, and ensure compliance in international trade. Interactive discussions, insightful questions, and shared experiences made the event highly engaging for participants.
