BOU VC attends international forum on blended learning in India

BOU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr ABM Obaidul Islam, and Treasurer, Professor Dr Abul Hasnat Md Shamim, are attending an international consultation on 'Blended Learning in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)' in Chennai, India, from 6 to 9 October 2025.
NITTTR Chennai and the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) jointly organised the event, which serves as a key platform for advancing innovative, industry-linked approaches to blended learning in technical and vocational education. Delegates from twelve countries shared expertise and helped shape future practices.
'Blended learning opens doors for our youth, combining academic and practical experience,' remarked Professor Dr Obaidul Islam. 'Through this consultation, we are deepening BOU's commitment to lifelong and skills-based education.'
Treasurer, Professor Dr Shamim, added, 'To truly advance skills development, we need to work together globally. This forum offers us a chance to discover sustainable models for education financing and management.'
During their participation in the consultation, Pro-VC (Education), Professor Dr Dil Rowshan Zinnat Ara Nazneen, assumes the role of Acting Vice-Chancellor, while Pro-VC (Administration), Professor Dr Saeed Ferdous, PhD, serves as Acting Treasurer.
