Bangladesh Denim Expo returns to chart industry’s future
Bangladesh will reinforce its position as a global denim leader as the 20th Bangladesh Denim Expo opens in Dhaka on 10-11 June 2026.
The event will bring together local and international stakeholders to address the sector's evolving challenges and emerging opportunities.
Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute, Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, will inaugurate the two-day event on 10 June.
More than 50 exhibitors from over 10 countries will showcase the full spectrum of the denim supply chain, from fabrics to finishes.
This year's theme, "Frontline to Future", reflects the industry's forward-looking vision.
Bangladesh Denim Expo Founder and CEO Mostafiz Uddin said exhibitors would present innovative products and ideas shaping the future of the denim industry.
"For more than four decades, Bangladesh's apparel industry has stood at the frontline of global fashion—absorbing pressure, driving growth and delivering value to the world. Now, the 20th Bangladesh Denim Expo arrives at a pivotal crossroads with a resolute theme: Frontline to Future," said Mostafiz Uddin.
"This theme is not merely a reflection of where Bangladesh's apparel industry stands; it is a declaration of where it is headed. From unlocking green and responsible investment to navigating post-LDC trade agreements, and from championing a just transition for its workforce to pioneering product diversification beyond apparel, Bangladesh is not waiting for the future—it is building it," he added.
Alongside the exhibition, five panel discussions will also take place over the two days.
Panel topics include: "Negotiating the Future: Trade Agreements and Bangladesh Apparel in the Post-LDC Era"; "Stitching the Future: Just Transition in Bangladesh's Apparel Industry"; "Beyond Apparel: Product Diversification as the Key to the Future Economy"; and "Financing the Future: Unlocking Green and Responsible Investment in Bangladesh's Denim and Apparel Sector".
A special panel discussion, "Woven in Data: The Past and Future of Bangladesh's Global Competitiveness", will also be organised by Better Work Bangladesh.
National and international policymakers, buyers, industry leaders, and experts will share insights during panel discussions, helping shape a sustainable future for Bangladesh's apparel industry.
