BOHO awarded Thai SELECT certificate for authentic Thai cuisine
The Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka, and BOHO held a Thai SELECT certificate ceremony on August 3, 2025, at the BOHO Bond Centre in Banani, Dhaka.
Mrs Suphawadee Wongsawasdi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and formally handed over the Thai SELECT certificate to Mrs. Kashfika Alam, owner of BOHO. Mr Khemathat Archawathamrong, Director of the Thai Trade Centre, Dhaka, and other diplomats from the Royal Thai Embassy were also present.
The Thai SELECT certification is awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, to recognise restaurants and food products that preserve the authenticity of Thai cuisine. It serves as a guarantee of genuine Thai taste, culinary methods, and premium-quality ingredients.

Thai SELECT aims to promote Thailand's traditional flavours globally while encouraging chefs and restaurants to maintain high standards in preparation, ingredients, and service. Restaurants awarded the certification are committed to authentic Thai cooking techniques and, where necessary, carefully select local alternatives to preserve the original Thai flavours.
The award is granted in two categories: Thai restaurants and Thai ready-to-eat/ready-to-cook products. A small selection of certified THAI SELECT PRODUCTS was also on display at the event.
The growing number of Thai SELECT-certified establishments, such as Laughing Buddha, Thai Emerald Gulshan, and Ruen Busaba in Bangladesh, reflects the increasing global recognition of authentic Thai cuisine and the ongoing commitment to excellence by Thai SELECT awardees.
