BKSP pledges long-term support for july warriors in global events
The two-month special sports training camp organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and managed by BKSP for injured students of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation concluded at BKSP today, where participants received certificates.
Twelve trainees selected in four sports categories — archery, athletics, table tennis, and shooting — completed the two-month programme. BKSP Director (Training) Col Md Golam Mabud Hasan handed over certificates to the July warriors.
At the event, July fighter Zakir Sikder said that receiving training at BKSP had been a memorable experience and expressed gratitude to the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation for the opportunity.
Shamsi Ara Zaman, the martyr mother of the July Revolution and general secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, said the confidence gained through the training would help the boys and girls establish themselves in society.
Col Mabud Hasan expressed gratitude for the bravery shown by the July 24 warriors and said the BKSP family considered it an honour to provide training to them. He added that the presence of the July warriors at BKSP would inspire regular trainees to develop resilience. He also said BKSP would continue to support their participation in global events, including the Paralympics.
