BIID Foundation and Robi Axiata sign MoU

BIID Foundation and Robi Axiata PLC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance digital inclusion and promote social development across Bangladesh.
The MoU was signed by Shahid Uddin Akbar, CEO of BIID Foundation, and Shahed Alam, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer (CCRO) of Robi. The signing ceremony was attended by Sharif Shah Jamal Raj, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Robi, along with senior officials from both organisations.
This strategic partnership aims to foster innovation, bridge the digital divide, and develop impactful solutions in key areas, including digital solutions for nutrition, healthy lifestyles, ICT literacy, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment.

"By combining BIID's grassroots experience with Robi's digital infrastructure and reach, we aim to catalyse real change in the lives of underserved communities, especially in areas like nutrition, digital skills, and youth empowerment."
Shahed Alam, CCRO of Robi, added: "We are proud to collaborate with BIID Foundation to co-create solutions that empower people and communities through technology. Together, we look forward to fostering a smart and inclusive Bangladesh."
The collaboration will focus on integrating digital solutions in nutrition, promoting youth engagement in health and the environment, and enhancing digital literacy among youth and rural populations. It will also provide access to entrepreneurial resources and digital solutions, as well as conduct innovation labs and community-focused initiatives, such as Nirvoya, Clean & Green Campus, and tree plantation projects.
With this MoU, BIID Foundation and Robi Axiata PLC are set to set a new benchmark for cross-sector collaboration in national development.
