BICM hosts seminar to explore government sukuk structures
The Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) hosted its 56th research seminar today at the institute's Multipurpose Hall, spotlighting alternative structures and practical considerations for the Bangladesh government sukuk.
Mezbah Uddin Ahmed, FCCA, CIPA, CSAA, Research Fellow at ISRA Institute, Insif University, Malaysia, presented the keynote paper, "Bangladesh Government Sukuk: Alternative Structures and Practical Considerations".
Wajid Hasan Shah, Executive President of BICM, chaired and moderated the seminar.
Mufti Shahed Rahmani, Member of the Shariah Advisory Committee for the Government of Bangladesh's Investment Sukuk, and Istekmal Hossain, Director of the Debt Management Department at Bangladesh Bank, also participated.
Speakers discussed key elements of the presentation and exchanged views on the subject.
BICM regularly organises research seminars to foster excellence among its researchers. Research Seminar-56 was part of this ongoing initiative.
Faculty members, officers, and invited guests attended the seminar.
