BICM hosts investment education programme at NSU

As part of the Tarunno Utsab-2025 celebrations, the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) organised an investment education programme titled "Investment in Capital Market" for students of the School of Business and Economics at North South University (NSU). The programme was held today, 21 October 2025, at NSU Auditorium (Audi-801).
The programme was graced by NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury as the chief guest. The executive president of BICM, Mr Wazid Hasan Shah, attended as the guest of honour. The event was presided over by Professor Dr AKM Waresul Karim, Dean of the School of Business and Economics at NSU. Also present were Associate Professor Dr Nurul Kabir, Director of Admission of the Accounting and Finance Department, Assistant Professor Mr Kashfia Sharmin of BICM, and faculty members from various departments of the Business Studies Faculty. The programme was hosted by NSU Finance Club members Mr Tashfia and Mr Rizvi.
Sessions during the investment education programme were conducted by BICM Assistant Professor Mr Kashfia Sharmin, Lecturer Ms Faima Akter, and Lecturer Mr Md Adnan Ahmed.
As part of the Tarunno Utsab-2025 celebrations under the "Customer Service Week" initiative, BICM has undertaken various programmes aimed at creating awareness among university students about investment in the capital market, encouraging responsible investing, and enhancing their future professional competence. This programme for NSU students is a key part of that initiative.
