BICM conducts investment education programme at Sylhet International University

The Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) conducted an investment education programme titled "Investment in Capital Market" for the students of the Department of Business Administration at Sylhet International University (SIU). The event was held today, 21 May 2025, at the university's auditorium.
The programme was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr Ashraful Alam, as the chief guest. Special guests included Treasurer Professor Nitai Chandra Chand, Dean of the School of Business and Social Science and Associate Professor Ms Naeema Masud Neela, and BICM Deputy Director Md Sirajul Islam. The session was chaired by Dr Md Rezaul Kabir, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Business Administration. Faculty members of the department were also present.
In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said such training on the capital market will sharpen students' understanding and help them apply this knowledge in practical life.
Treasurer Professor Nitai Chandra Chand welcomed the joint initiative by BICM and SIU, praising its potential benefits for students. Dean Naeema Masud Neela also emphasised the value of such programmes in enhancing student learning.
BICM Deputy Director Md Sirajul Islam stated that the event aimed to generate interest and awareness among students regarding capital market investment, ultimately contributing to their future professional development.
Assistant Professor SM Kalbeen Salima, Lecturer Faimah Akhter, and Lecturer Md Adnan Ahmed from BICM conducted different sessions of the programme.
BICM regularly organises such training and workshops on capital market topics for students of various public and private universities across the country.
