BAT's Sarzil Sarwar honoured as CDO of the year at Bangladesh C-Suite awards

Bangladesh Brand Forum has recognised Sarzil Sarwar as the 'Chief Digital Officer (CDO)/Digital Director of the Year 2024' at the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards. Sarzil Sarwar, who serves as Area Head of Information and Digital Technology at BAT Bangladesh, received the honour at a ceremony held on 12 December 2024, at Le Méridien Dhaka.

The Bangladesh C-Suite Awards celebrate the achievements of outstanding business leaders in the country. Honourees are selected by an esteemed advisory board and a professional audit panel for their integrity, excellence, and ability to build competitive organisations.

Sarzil Sarwar has led by example, driving innovation and setting industry benchmarks. He has supported startups and digital ventures through accelerator programmes like the Stanford Seed Program, Bangladesh Angels, and R-Venture. As the Founder and President of Bangladesh's Chief Information Officers (CIOs) fraternity, he has fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing within the tech community.

Under his leadership, BAT Bangladesh has achieved remarkable business outcomes while maintaining compliance. Sarzil Sarwar has spearheaded global and regional collaborations in digital innovation, including AI applications in agri-tech and anti-counterfeiting. His contributions include corporate governance solutions like AGM Portal and Digital Board Management, ensuring seamless experiences for stakeholders.
