BASIC Bank kicks off fortnight-long customer service drive

State-owned BASIC Bank Limited has inaugurated a "fortnight-long customer service" initiative to mark Youth Festival 2025, running from 19 October to 2 November 2025.
The programme forms part of a Financial Institutions Division (FID), Ministry of Finance, drive across state-owned commercial banks, specialised banks and financial institutions.
The launch was held at BASIC Bank's head office in Motijheel. Helal Ahmed Chowdhoury, Chairman of the Board of Directors, attended as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the programme. Sheikh Farid, Joint Secretary, FID, and Director of BASIC Bank, was Special Guest, while Md Quamruzzaman Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, presided.
On the occasion, the bank also introduced a new deposit product, the "Porua Savings Scheme", aimed at encouraging saving habits among students and the wider youth segment, in the virtual presence of the bank's branch and sub-branch heads.
Among others present were Deputy Managing Directors Abu Md Mofazzel and Subhash Chandra Das, FCA, FCMA; General Managers Md Ismail, Md Momenul Hoque, Md Nashir Uddin, Sumit Ranjan Nath, Md Hasan Imam, Md Ghulam Sayeed Khan, Saidur Rahman Sohel, and Nurur Rahman Chowdhury (GM–CC); along with heads of the Main and Dilkusha branches and divisional heads.
Speakers stressed the importance of delivering quality, prompt and technology-driven customer service across all branches during the observance period, urging officials and employees to serve customers with professionalism, empathy and dedication.
