Banglalink, Berger support first cohort of professional women painters
To mark International Women's Day 2026, Banglalink has partnered with Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited to support what the companies described as Bangladesh's first cohort of professional women painters.
The initiative aims to build a support ecosystem for the participants and encourage women's entry into non-traditional professions. Berger is providing technical training through its Berger Training Institutes (BTI), while Banglalink is supporting the women with digital connectivity, financial access, and healthcare services to enable them to work as independent professionals.
Under the programme, each participant will receive a Banglalink SIM card to maintain a dedicated business contact number and communicate with customers seeking services through Berger Experience Zone outlets. Banglalink will also facilitate smartphone access through a structured EMI arrangement by covering the initial down payment, enabling the painters to access online learning resources and promote their services digitally.
The initiative also provides an additional income opportunity. The participants will be onboarded as agents on the BL Power app, enabling them to earn commission by offering mobile recharge services through their smartphones.
To support wellbeing, the programme offers one year of unlimited doctor consultations through the MyBL app in partnership with CliniCall. Participants will also receive health insurance coverage of up to Tk1 lakh (with an inpatient claim limit of Tk25,000), in addition to life insurance coverage, according to the companies.
Kazi Mahboob Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink, said, 'At Banglalink, care is at the heart of everything we do. We believe digital inclusion can open new pathways for women to build independent and sustainable livelihoods. Through this partnership with Berger Paints, we are standing beside these pioneering women with connectivity, digital tools, financial access, and wellbeing support so they can grow their professional journey with confidence.'
Salahuddin Ahmed, Chief Marketing Officer of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, said, 'Through Express Painting Service by female painters, available through Berger Experience Zone outlets, we are creating new opportunities for skilled women while offering added comfort and confidence to customers. We appreciate Banglalink's collaboration in strengthening this initiative and supporting these professionals to grow with dignity and independence.'
