Bangladesh-China Business Summit held to boost investment
The Bangladesh-China Business Summit 2026 convened today at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, bringing together leading business figures from both nations to advance cross-sector investment and commercial ties.
Senior executives and industry stakeholders exchanged insights and explored prospects for robust, long-term partnerships.
Organised by Bangladesh China Club Limited (BCCL), the day-long summit was supported by the Global Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (China) and the International Business Strategy Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Business Federation. United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) served as title sponsor. The summit drew key representatives from China's investment, healthcare, manufacturing, renewable energy, trade, and education sectors.
Muzaffar Ahmed, Chairman of the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Saif Uddin Ahmed, Administrator of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) and CEO of the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI); Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, Managing Director and CEO of UCB; and Adnan Masud, Additional Managing Director of UCB.
Speakers expressed optimism that the summit would deepen trade relations, foster strategic partnerships, and enhance long-term financial cooperation between Bangladesh and China. Sessions addressed international trade networking, B2B opportunities, investment, banking, and financial collaboration.
