BACB holds election to elect executive committee
Election of Executive Committee of BACB held. Chief Advisor, DG, BSTI, President, Mr Selim Shahed and Secretary General, Mr Ahashan Habib.
The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Association of Certification Bodies (BACB) election for the term 2025 - 2027 was held on March 10, 2025, at Uttara Club, Dhaka.
According to the election result, the Association has elected Mr Selim Shahed, Chief Advisor, DG, BSTI, Managing Director, Global Certification BD, as the President of BACB.

Mr Ahashan Habib, Managing Director of AGS Quality Action Limited, was elected Secretary-General and Vice President. Mr. Ataur Rahman, Treasurer, Mr. Abdul Kader, Director, United Certification, and six other ex-office members were elected EC members.
The BACB Election 2025 was held by an Election Commission of eminent professionals and highly esteemed independent members.
The Election Commissioner was Mr Abu Abdullah, the Former Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB).
BACB (Bangladesh Association of Certification Bodies) is an industry association representing accredited certification bodies (called Conformity Assessment Bodies) across various certification markets. BACB assists its members by promoting certified certification, representing its members in liaising with accreditation and industry bodies, and supporting the continual improvement of certification schemes and regulatory frameworks to deliver the best possible outcomes for end users of third-party certification.
