AWC launches new health book and portal in Dhaka

The American Wellness Centre (AWC) Bangladesh hosted a launch event on Sunday (31 August) at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium, unveiling "Susthotar Mulmantra" (Root to Cure), a new health-focused book by AWC founder Prof. Dr Mojibul Haque.
The event also marked the official debut of the health news portal Health24.com.
The seminar was presided over by AWC Chairman Md Mahbubul Haque and moderated by AWC Advisor Mohammad Imtiaj. Chief Guest Md Saidur Rahman, Secretary of the Health Services Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, attended the programme.
Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr Shahjahan Khan, Vice-Chancellor of Asian University of Bangladesh; Dr Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Joint Secretary of the Health Services Division; Dr Ayesha Akhter, Deputy Director of TB Hospital; and noted Islamic scholar Dr Abul Kalam Azad (Bashar). Officials and staff members of AWC were also present.
Prof. Dr Mojibul Haque (PhD, ND, FDM), currently a consultant at the Centre of Integrative Medicine in the United States, delivered the keynote speech and addressed questions from the audience.
In his new book, Dr Haque stresses the importance of preventive healthcare over reliance on medication. He explains how chronic, non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disorders can be prevented and managed through healthy dietary habits and lifestyle changes.
The event also featured the screening of a health documentary and a presentation that highlighted key aspects of wellness and disease prevention.
