Treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar said, "A multidisciplinary approach should ensure the latest and best quality medical services for newborns. It is a matter of hope that many premature babies will survive due to the advancement of medical science. But there are many complex issues in pediatric surgery and pediatric neurology, in which case the desired success can be achieved." There is still a lot of work to be done. The current administration of BSMMU is ready to provide all kinds of assistance for improvement, but in that case, some procedures must be followed.

Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor and neonatal specialist Professor Dr Shahidullah said, "The knowledge gained through technology must be spread to the grassroots level. If medical technology can be used properly, there will be no need to stop even in a pandemic like Covid."

The chairman of the Department of Neonatology, Professor Dr Abdul Mannan, said that the Department of Neonatology of BSMMU is advancing research activities by linking not only this institution but also institutions in different countries of the world, which is why teachers and students of this department are awarded every year on BSMMU's Research Day.

Other speakers at the event urged greater investment in ensuring a healthy and hygienic life for newborns. The speakers said that today's children are the future of tomorrow. Therefore, our responsibility is to ensure their good health and a beautiful life. Thus, all those concerned should extend their hands of cooperation in this regard. BSMMU's Neonatology Department Much progress has been made in saving lives, but there is room for much more improvement in complex medical care.
